Early June

The girls had TONS of fun special events in early June!!

Katie's track team (7th and 8th graders) had a bowling party to end the season

Katie got a letter!!

One night I got this pic texted to me.  Chris went for a run, and Jess biked alongside him, so they both earned a treat at the end!

Jessica's dance dress rehearsal.  Her group were the "gingersnaps" in the Nutcracker - aka Mother Ginger's crazy little kids.  They had a very cute routine, and Jess was a leader!

Jess peeking out during the final bows.

DQ to celebrate!  (Katie also had a soccer game at the same time as Jessi's dress rehearsal)

Megan's 4th grade class picture.  What an awesome group of kids!

Our elementary school's science club takes a field trip for the last meeting of the year.  This year we went to Oakland University's College of Engineering.  They have a brand new building, and we got a tour and got to try two projects in the labs:
Making an anemometer (to measure wind speed)

Watching a mini steam engine, and learning how steam power was a very important predecessor to today's cars and trains.

I got to see Megan at her field day this year.

Katie's last soccer game of the season (she's #2, going for the ball)

DQ to celebrate...of course!

We went on a date on a Friday night, complete with dinner in downtown Detroit, a special exhibit at the DIA (Diego Rivera and Frieda Kahlo), and drinks in downtown Rochester.

Meg's last soccer game of the season.

Jessi's last game of the season.  She had three goals (I think).

After the last game, we went to a teammate's house for a pool/pizza party!  Chris is in the huddle of girls, handing out trophies to his team.  He is a great coach...all of the girls love him!

Mom & Dad C came for the weekend.  There was so much fighting in the back seat that Grandpa had to squeeze back there to stop the touching/poking/bumping/hitting!

Here's Megan receiving her All-Star medal after playing in the All-Star game.  She was awesome, per usual.  Jessica played in her age group's All-Star game, too, but my phone ran out of room to take pics.  :(

Right after coaching Jessica's All-Star game, Chris left for Brazil.  And the rest of us raced straight over to Stoney Creek High School for Jessica's ballet recital!  Poor thing had to get her costume, hair, and makeup done while all sweaty from her soccer game!  But she rocked her dance despite the frazzled day.

Family pic

Beautiful gingersnap!

We went to Big Boy for dinner after her recital.

What a superstar...with her soccer trophy, her all-star medal, and her flowers from dance!
