Niagara day 2

Chris woke up with an awful sinus infection today, so after breakfast, I took the girls out so he could rest. We went shopping first, and the girls picked out a tshirt or a key chain. I picked out the BEST tourist thing ever - a selfie stick!!

Then we walked to Ripleys Believe it or not. The girls loved it! It was the most random assortment of weird things ever!!

Testing out new selfie stick:

Normal:

We saw a short video about daredevils going over the falls:

Crazy animals were the girls' favorite:

Shadow art...with selfie stick:

We picked up Chris and walked to lunch at Curry Queen, a super yummy Indian place we remember from our last visit. Yay for cheap lunch buffets!

After lunch, we had a 3+ hour detour, bc I drove Chris to the U.S. side to an urgent care clinic. We figured nothing would be open tomorrow (Easter Sunday), and he was way too miserable to wait til Monday for antibiotics. The girls got lots of iTime so they were ok with it!

After that drive, we headed out on a walk along the Canadian side to see the Horseshoe Falls.

Our hotel is very close to all the attractions, just a 5 minute walk to Clifton Hill, where all the attractions are. The falls are at the bottom of the hill, less than a 5 minute walk.

I found flowers!!!

Lots of pics with the selfie stick!!

Horseshoe Falls:

So close!

Warming up in the visitors center. It was much colder today, mid 30s and super windy. We had a great view from inside:

We took the incline train up the steep hill by the horseshoe falls:

View from the train:

We had a very nice dinner, and watched the MSU game. Everyone pooped out by the game's end, and went right to bed. But I wasn't tired, so I went on a walk to see the lights on the falls:

It was a beautiful moonlit walk!

  1. It is miserable being sick on vacation. Hope Chris feels better soon! BTW, is it safe for you to walk alone at night?
