December part 1

December is always a fun month!

Decorating our new tree with our 5 billion ornaments:

Mary had a conference nearby and she drove over to meet us one night!  We had dinner at Sumo, then walked around to see the lights and to the Royal Park Hotel to see the gingerbread (light)house:

Enjoying venison sticks from Chris' deer:

So sweet!

It was actually warm-ish and sunny for the Rochester Christmas Parade, so we got there early and got great seats right in the middle of downtown.  It was jam packed with people!

Anniversary dinner - celebrating 18 years!

Our Christmas lights this year

Katie made this wreath!  We found a big white pine branch when we were on a nature walk, and I made everyone help to get it home.  It made for lovely porch decorations (in our planters) and an even prettier wreath!

Katie's winter choir concert.  She's 2nd from the left.

We made lots of Christmas cookies this year!

Megan's nutcracker collection keeps growing!  And this was before Christmas, when she received even more!

This was posted in the hall of Meg's school, and I thought it was so cute!  My little astronomer made her own constellation with a cool story behind it.

At Jessi's class Christmas party, they played a lot of fun games, but this was the best.  Kids had to pair up and put on one t-shirt per two kids. Then they had to wrap a present together, only using one hand each.  Jess was a natural with her left hand, of course!
