Sunday on the road

Sunday morning, we walked back to the arch for more sightseeing. Then we hit the road for a long day of driving. We made it 600 miles thru MO and almost all of KS. The girls were wonderful! We listened to a great book on CD, The 39 Clues, and that helped pass the time.

The highlight of our drive was our stop for BBQ in Kansas City. Chris was in heaven! We got pulled pork, burnt ends, and a full slab of ribs. The only veggie options were coleslaw and fries...and I also had some of the delish baked beans (picking the beans out of the pork).






Now we have a very short drive to Colorado Springs, where we'll spend Mon and Tues.
