We had another fun and busy week last week. So busy, in fact, that I have to separate all the pics into several posts!!
|
Chris tested out our "new" smoker (thanks, Dad!) by making delicious smoked salmon. |
Megan's whole grade held the annual kindergarten AlphaFriends Parade on Monday. Each child was assigned to a letter of the alphabet, and then got to dress up as that alphafriend and/or as something that starts with that letter. Megan was Y - Yetta Yo-Yo. All 110+ kids paraded in and out of every single room of the school to show off their costumes, and then paraded out onto the playground blacktop for a presentation.

See Megan, in pale yellow? |
|
Each class sang & danced to an alphabet song. Here's Megan's class (only 11 kids!). |
|
The best part of the parade is the picnic afterwards!! Each child brought a plate of food that begins with their chosen letter (we brought yogurt), so there was a LOT of food to enjoy! Here's Megan showing off an apricot smile. |
On Thursday, Jessica had her last day of preschool for the year. The kids sang us several songs, and then received their portfolio of the cutest pictures and projects from the whole school year. We also celebrated all of the summer birthdays on this day (Jessi included).

Jessica with her teacher and her diploma! |

Jessi loves her pushup popsicle! We had a healthy treat of Oreos & pushups right before lunch! |
I'll save Katie's field trip for its own post...
