At the end of September, we all traveled to Durango, CO for my brother's wedding to his wonderful fiancé, Stephanie. Day 1 was all travel.
First, a plane ride to Denver. Then a chair lift in the airport! |
We rented a minivan for our drive to Durango...it was just like home! |
The drive took alllllll day long, but was so beautiful! I couldn't stop oohing and ahhing at the mountains all around us! |
The aspen were a beautiful, bright yellow |
We passed lots and lots of ranches with entrances like this |
Potty break at a gas station. I find it hilarious that the Sinclair gas station mascot is a dinosaur! |
More aspen |
More aspen by the continental divide, I think. |
Taking a short hike off the road to see the stream we had been driving along. |
Meg and Mom had to put their feet in the water - it was so cold! |
Gorgeous scenery |
We drove along with Dad C, Erica/Violet, and the CCs, who were in a huge church van, and met up with them for lunch and a few stops. We all got into the rental house right at dark, and it was a mad dash to eat, pick bedrooms, set up for bed, etc. No pictures the rest of the night.
