Basketball

Jessica and Katie played basketball this winter.  Jessica's team was hilarious.  It was all girls except one boy, and they were all from her class or grade at school.  All of the other teams in her league were 90% boys, and much more aggressive, so we got creamed every week.  But it was still such fun to watch our girls with matching hair pretties!  Haha!  Jess did really, really well.  She was a very confident dribbler and shooter.

Katie's team was a mishmash of girls from all 4 middle schools, and they never really gelled well.  They played decently, but didn't get a lot of lucky breaks, and lost most of their games by a few points.  Katie improved quite a bit with her dribbling and shooting!

After two straight years of going to the championships at the Palace, her team bowed out in the first round and didn't make it to the Palace this year.  Oh, well, she learned a lot and had fun!
