Before I forget, here's a picture of our summer pet: Fuzzbutt. Isn't she gorgeous?!! She resides in Katie's school library for most of the year, but our dining room is her summer home.
After a few extra days in Alpena, Mom & Dad C. brought the girls home just in time for the Rochester Hills fireworks! We had lots of fun at the festival beforehand.

It was awesome! |
I forgot to get a pic with everyone at the fireworks, so our family room had to do! |
The following day, we went to our library's weekly "maker space." It's just an empty room with some odds and ends set out for kids to tinker and create.
Katie & Meg made t-shirt curly-q scarves |
Jess took apart a keyboard...and put it all back together, too! |
She also took apart a hand vacuum |
On Friday of that week, Daddy came home from Brazil! Finally! Three weeks is a long time!
One of his Father's Day presents was a big bag of Perch's bacon - his favorite! |
The girls also got him this t-shirt! |
We watered our raised beds at the Farmer's Market...we are taking care of these nine beds for the summer, raising veggies for the food pantry. The girls and I planted every single one of these seeds! |
We picked strawberries after lunch. It was a great year for berries! |
At the orchard, we went to the petting zoo |
We needed some nourishment after all of that hard work! |
And for dessert (later) that night, I made strawberry rhubarb crisp. Yum! |
You guys are always so busy! I love watching and living vicariously through you :-) A few thoughts:
ReplyDelete1) tell Katie to stop growing, she looks SO OLD!!!!!
2) I loved the old library in downtown Indianapolis! It was very similar to the pics you showed of the Detroit library, maybe less art and murals.
3) I think you need to do some sort of photo collage/book with all photos of your family at Dairy Queen. You could be featured in a commercial or something! hahah
