Tuesday in Boston

Jess was feeling a lot better on Tuesday, so we ditched the wheelchair. First, we drove to Bunker Hill:

We climbed all 294 steps of the monument:

Awesome view from the top!

At the top:

Back down on solid ground:

We went to the visitor center and museum. Meg loved the museum! Awesome stories and depictions of the battle!

Walking to the Naval Yard via the Freedom Trail:

Old Ironsides! Did you know Paul Revere installed the copper on the hill? Maybe it should be Old Coppersides? We couldn't tour it today, but got pretty close, and went to the museum.

Dry dock, where the USS Constitution will go for restoration for the next three years!

Lunch at Quincy Market again. Lobstah rolls and clam chowders!

Afternoon at the New England Aquarium. At the touch tank:

We pet this big zebra (?) shark several times:

Jellies:

Jess with lobsters:

Katie with a grouper:

Leafy sea dragon! My fave!

Archer fish and mudskippers:

Meg and piranha:

Tidal pool touch tank:

Big turtle in the big central tank:

After the aquarium, we boarded the ferry to Hingham to visit friends for dinner. We got takeout from Wahlburgers! (Have you seen the show?). And we had a wonderful time with good friends! Unfortunately, I forgot to take any pictures of the girls playing together. :(

  2. It was fun seeing the camping kids out here--with terrible weather, of course and unfortunately!
