Durango Day 4

Saturday was wedding day!!

First we celebrated Mary's b-day with candles in donuts.

Then we went over to the wedding site to help get ready.  Dad is helping hold the benches down on the ride over to the ceremony site.

The bridesmaids and new sisters helped decorate the tables

Cool favor - a beer glass!

Photo board

Special memory table

We had a few spare hours so we went into Durango to visit the fish hatchery.

Then we went out for a yummy Mexican lunch.

Now back to wedding stuff!  Pre-wedding photos while we were all dressed up:

Bear turds right next to our chosen photo spot.  They were fresh, too!

Pics from the wedding:
Gemma and Marcos - the cutest kids ever!

Chaos and fun in the reception tent

Instead of throwing rice, we threw hops at them!

Our family dominated the dance floor!

Homemade bar!  With lots of beer choices all night long.

Durango Day 3

Friday was dress rehearsal day.  We had some fun beforehand, though!

View of inside the rental house at breakfast.

The kids liked eating breakfast outside on the deck - with a friendly cat!

Katie had a bad cold, and chose to stay home and rest.  The rest of us went on a morning hike up the Animas Mountain.  We started by the houses to the right of Megan.

The view was just amazing!  This was as far as we made it before turning around.

Eagle eye (aka Megan) found something by the trail...

It was a tarantula!  It was soooo cool!

After the hike

Very cool old buildings in downtown Durango

Horse statues in downtown Durango

We didn't have the time (or money!) to ride the train to Silverton, so we went to the train museum instead.  It was a very nice museum with tons of artifacts.  Here is the gang watching the model train exhibit.

Violet loves men, and it was easy to get all the guys to pick her up!

Jess by a cool steam engine.  We watched a neat movie, got to board lots of trains, and saw a ton!

Another cool hotel in downtown Durango.  We bumped into Joe & Steph while walking downtown, and had lunch with them.

View of our rental house - gorgeous!

When we got home, we found a lizard sunning himself by the door!

He's so cute!

Then we got ready for the dress rehearsal.  I took lots of pics of the wedding site, which was beautiful.  I haven't connected these for a panoramic, but you can use your imagination to see these from left to right, right?

Steph's grandparents live in the green house at the right edge of this picture.

Steph's parents live across the street, kind of behind the tent.

There are several trout ponds and we had fun finding the fish

After dark, we descended upon the Coldstone Creamery in downtown Durango.

We had a big crowd!
