Baltimore

We started off the day in downtown Baltimore. The harbor area is very nice, with lots of historic ships to tour, restaurants, piers to walk, etc.

We met Jeni and Ana at the National Aquarium in the morning. What an awesome place!

Jeni had to leave after 2 hrs, Ana was exhausted from all the excitement!

We had a late lunch at Nick's, with amazing crab cakes and seafood. Then we drove Chris to the airport to catch his flight home. Poor Chris has to work the rest of the week.

Then I drove to Chincoteague Island, our home for the next few days. We are looking forward to a fun and relaxing few days here!

Last day in DC

Today was very rainy, and we were very tired, so we had a relatively quiet day. First stop - a tour of the Capitol!

The statue on top of the Capitol dome is really this big!

Lunch in Chinatown:

We drove by the Jefferson Memorial, but didn't go in. Next time!

We visited cousins Matt and Jeni and little Anastasia at their house for dinner. The four girls had a blast together while the grown ups talked.

Then back to our hotel for some swimming!

27,425

That was the number of steps that Megan took yesterday, according to her pedometer! We did a lot of walking! Chris estimates at least 6 miles! We all slept very well last night.

Today's agenda: national archives, smithsonian museum of natural history, and more!
